# How to Properly Set Equipment Availability in Your Service

Cowlendar now supports **Availability per Equipment**, a powerful feature designed to help you manage reservations for physical resources more efficiently. Whether you rent gear, rooms, or vehicles, this setup gives you full control over when and how each item is booked.

### 🧭 What is Equipment-Based Availability?

This feature is ideal for businesses that manage **physical items or spaces** that must be booked independently. Instead of using general availability, you can link your service directly to specific equipment with its own availability calendar.

#### ✅ Common use cases:

* 🚲 Bikes, ski gear, trailers
* 🏟️ Tennis courts, padel courts, golf courses
* 🍽️ Restaurant tables or private dining rooms
* 🛥️ Boats, rental homes, or cars

### ⚙️ How to Configure Equipment-Based Availability

Follow these steps to enable equipment-based availability in your multiday service:

#### 🔢 Step-by-step setup:

1. **Go to your Shopify Admin Dashboard**
2. Click on **Apps** in the left sidebar.
3. Select **Cowlendar** from your list of installed apps.
4. Inside Cowlendar, go to **My Services**.

5. Find the service you want to edit and click **Edit**.
6. Navigate to the **Availability** tab within the service editor.
7. Under **Availability Mode**, select **Availability per Equipment**.
8. A new section called **Equipments** will appear. Click **Add Equipment**.

1. **Adjust Equipment Availability Rules**\
